On January 17, Liu Haibin, Secretary of the Haiyang Municipal Party Committee, met with Wang Xiaodong, President of Zhongji Xuchuan, Feng Hongwei, co-founder of Xiaocun Capital, and others who came to Haiyang for inspection. The two sides had in-depth discussions on accelerating the implementation of the quartz materials industrial park project.
Chen Fengli, general manager of Shanghai Tsanley Technology, reported in detail on the progress of the Haiyang Quartz Materials Project. At present, the Shandong Tsanley Photovoltaic and Semiconductor High-Purity Quartz Materials Project (Phase I) is under construction, and all work is progressing steadily. It is planned to start trial production at the end of April 2024. Rapidly promote the implementation of high-purity quartz materials (Phase II) and precision quartz devices and spherical silicon powder projects for semiconductors. The planning and design work of the silicon-based new materials industrial park has been started. Product development will be guided by international market demand, and a high-level scientist R&D team will be established to create a high-level Dingziwan Quartz Materials Specialty Industrial Park.
Liu Haibin, secretary of the municipal party committee, said that Haiyang City has unique nuclear power resources and policy advantages, a good business environment, and is targeting sectors such as aerospace, green and low-carbon, equipment, and new materials. High-purity quartz materials for semiconductors are an industrial hotspot in the field of silicon-based materials, and the Tsanley high-purity quartz project is a key project for the implementation of the new materials sector. Government departments should adopt a pragmatic service attitude, speed up efficiency, and ensure project implementation through approval.
